Hello friends, fellow LightBearers and affiliated members.   

How are you feeling today?  

The LightBearers Association of Canada is a partnership, mandated as a non for profit with the mission to support people on their path to empowerment, higher learning and enlightenment.  

Our next meeting is scheduled for September 12th at 6:30 pm at Be-Still in Elmvale, our topic is as best described by our guest speaker Hugh Smiley himself. 

Here is a bit about the theme “Meditation for the Spiritual Warrior”:

We live in a time of great change and challenge.  

The sacred warrior must learn to become fearless. 

In any genuine spiritual practice or journey, fear is a constant companion. But fear is not that scary. Reframed, fear can be called 'a breeze bringing the unknown towards us'. What IS scary though is being afraid of fear. That pushes away the sweet unknown and our evolved future. 

One way of not being ashamed of being scared is realizing that everyone is scared about almost everything always. That's a good starting point; it only gets better! 🙂  

Also, the authentic Hero and Sacred Warrior, when able to be a mere membrane away from tenderness, sadness & vulnerability - this 'protection' helps embody that courage to go forth into those places most feared.

 At our most recent meeting we had to make a last minute arrangement that allowed us the opportunity to sit under the shelter at the Elmvale Heritage Park. What a fitting setting to talk about dreams. As a result of our trend to allow people more of an opportunity to have space to speak and share, we were graced by the experiences of all 8 in attendance. It’s been a time since that meeting, but I recall a few bits that I will share in no particular order. We heard about;

• We heard about communications from the dead and their realworld outcomes. 
• We discussed astral travel and how it seems a few people were unable to recall what happened when they astral travel.  
• We heard of non dreamers, and over active dreamers.  
• We learned about types of dreams.  
• We learned about taking control of our dreams and the practice of lucid dreaming.  
• We learned of precognition or prophetic dreams and their real-world outcomes.  
• We also discussed influencing others through our dreams, sharing dreams with those in proximity to us, and being influenced in our dreams. 
• All and all I think we covered a lot of ground and what a joy it was to share this wonderful topic and space with everyone. 

Coming up we have Mitra’s talk about spirituality of the Bahái Faith with us. www.bahai.org for either October or November and we thank Mitra for sharing Hugh with us.  

If anyone has any ideas for subjects or would like to host in the coming months, please let me know so we can discuss and develop your ideas.  

I also want to mention we have a lovely Facebook page, and website, where I am going to try to more actively cultivate our presence as LightBearers. I do this by posting these meeting invitations on Facebook as well as some additional content; this allows us the easy opportunity to share our invitations with friends. 

Further more I am going to be using the LightBearers forum to help cultivate greater community. Please consider either of these as your very own.
